Booking Procedure |
Please read the following information if you are a first-time guest at Daisen Backpackers

1. Go to the room availability calendar and check if there is a vacancy on the date of your stay. We accept bookings 3 months in advance prior to your stay.
   
   
2. If there is a vacancy, please fill in the booking e-mail form and submit it to us.
   
   
3. After you send your booking e-mail form, you will receive our automatically transmitted response to inform you that we have received your form. (Your booking, however, is not confirmed at this stage.)
   
   If you don’t receive this automatically transmitted response, please check your spam or junk mail folder.

4. Within 24 hours, you will be notified by email whether your booking has been accepted by Daisen Backpackers.
   
   If your booking is accepted, we will send you a bill via e-mail.
   Please make the payment by credit card by the due date.

5. After confirming payment, reservation is confirmed.
   We will inform you by email when reservation is confirmed.
   If there is no contact, if it is not settled within the due date, it will be automatically canceled.

If you still fail to receive an automatically transmitted response from us

It is possible that you have inputted the wrong e-mail address when making your booking. Please inquire here.

Other Terms and Conditions
※Please be sure to read all the following information.

• Check-in time is from 4:00pm to 9:00pm.
  Check-out time is from 7:00am to 10:00am.

Check-in time ends at 9:00pm.
Note that the number of public buses or trains to our area is limited. Please check the timetables beforehand.

• From our nearest station, you can use a local bus called “Demand Bus” that is operated by Hoki Town Office. Reservations necessary.

Note that the number of the buses is very few on weekends or public holidays,.

• We ask each guest to show us his/her photo identification such as a passport or driver’s license for security purposes.

If you don’t have any, you may not be able to check-in.

• Bring your own toiletries

Soap, shampoo and hair conditioner are available for your use in the bathroom; however, you will need to bring all other items such as toothbrush, towels, and pajamas.

• Secure your valuables.

We do not take responsibility of any lost or broken valuables. Keep your valuables in a secure place.

• Drinking or eating is not allowed in guest rooms for hygiene reasons.
  Please use the living room on the 1st floor to drink or eat.

• All bedrooms and public areas in Daisen Backpackers are non-smoking.
  For smokers, we have a designated place for smoking near our entrance hall.

Cancellation Fee

As we are a small inn, cancellation can cause an inconvenience or problems to other guests. If you would like to cancel or make any changes, please inform us by e-mail as soon as possible.

General Cancellation

If you cancel your booking, our cancellation of your credit card transaction will be processed and you will be charged a certain percentage of the total price of accommodation or cancellation charge as listed below.

• If the booking is cancelled four days before the intended check-in day: \350 cancellation fee incurred.
• If the booking is cancelled from three days to one day before the intended check-in day: 50% of total price of accommodation.
• If the booking is cancelled on the intended check-in day: 100% of total price of accommodation.

Booking cancellation for 6 or more guests

If you cancel your booking, our cancellation of your credit card transaction will be processed and you will be charged a certain percentage of the total price of accommodation or cancellation charge as listed below.

• If the booking is cancelled fifteen days before the intended check-in day: \700 cancellation fee incurred
• If the booking is cancelled from fourteen days to eight days before the intended check-in day: 15% of total price of accommodation
• If the booking is cancelled from seven days to four days before the intended check-in day: 20% of total price of accommodation
• If the booking is cancelled from three days to one day before the intended check-in day: 50% of total price of accommodation
• If the booking is cancelled on the intended check-in day: 100% of total price of accommodation
